The Kaveri Group, established in 1976 by Sri P.K. Venkatachalam, stands as one of the leading and rapidly expanding biotech nutrition private sector enterprises in India. It operates through three main business divisions: Animal Nutrition & Health Care, Poultry, and Exports, all under its flagship company, Kaveri’s Bio Proteins Private Limited (KBPL). Additionally, it has a poultry subsidiary, PKV Bio Faarm Private Limited, along with several associate companies, including Kaveri Poultry Farms, Sunnex Commercial Private Limited, Kaveri Wind Farms, and Kaveri Transports.

Currently, Kaveri Supreme Animal Feeds (Nutritional Feeds) has established a market presence in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala. KBPL has partnered with the National Dairy Development Board—Indian Immunologicals Ltd. (NDDB) to develop and manufacture animal health care nutritional products. Products such as Calsagar, Vetfern 600, and Goumix are now marketed across India.

In 1994, the R&D wing of KBPL developed BIO V PRO and SOYA V PRO, innovative protein feed products derived from animal husbandry and agro-wastes, utilizing biotechnology and an extrusion cooking process. This advancement was revolutionary in replacing low-quality fish meal in animal feeds. KBPL was recognized as an innovative project by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

Integrated layer poultry operations are based in the Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu, serving as the foundation for our fresh shell egg export operations.

In 2006, KBPL was awarded A STAR EXPORT HOUSE status by the Government of India for its outstanding export performance in rural livestock farm products.
